Strand Beach Outing

A small group of members met up at Strand beach for an outing earlier this evening. Present were Nettie Warncke, Paddy Howes, Marius Swart, Steve Crane, Roger Lee and Marisa Bascheira.

Although the grey skies ruled out a colourful sunset there were many things to photograph, from people to birds, and we spent an enjoyable time walking the beach, taking photos as we went.

Due to the fact that the Jonkershoek fires have devastated the landscape, we will instead be starting our outing at the Life-Savers’ Hut on Strand Beach at 5pm on Saturday 21st February. We might move along to the Gordon’s Bay coast and beyond. Bring some nibbles, and drinks; plus tripod and the usual equipment!

Paddy is organising an outing to Jonkershoek on Sat. 21st Feb at 3pm – we will meet at the coffee shop at the entrance to the Reserve. Depending on time and inclination, we may move to the Strand for a few evening shots on the beach, and perhaps a snack afterwards.
